The concentration of 14/16% Ferrosilicon, a higher percentage of Powder increases Density, a lower concentration (Or Addition of water) lowers the density.
Is the resistance to flow. The viscosity is determined by the concentration, shape & Size (Morphology) and size distribution range of the particles in the suspension medium.
Is the propensity for the mediumís particles to settle out. High settling rates make the medium Unstable, lower settling rates lead to a more stable medium.
Thus any Dense medium processing plant has a number of variables to control, each influencing the other in a positive or negative manner. Having a 14/16% Ferrosilicon Powder with highly reproducible properties is a key factor in minimising Plant process variability.
